During this guided tour, you will take a walking tour of Porto's historic center and have the opportunity to hear and learn about its history and culture. The visit begins at the Porto Cathedral (Sé) (exterior) it was here that the expansion of the city began in the twelfth century.you can contemplate a unique view over the Douro River on the D. Luís Bridge and glimpse the Fernandina wall and the Rabelo boats lined up along the pier. The tour continues through the city center of Porto, an area that has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years.
We will visit the interior of São Bento station and learn about the history depicted on the tiles that cover the walls inside the station.
We will walk along Rua Santa Catarina, the best known pedestrian shopping street in the city, full of shops and where you can see the famous “Café Majestic”.
We continue along Avenida dos Aliados to the Clérigos Church, where you can see the acclaimed Clérigos Tower.
You will see the Lello bookstore-considered one of the most beautiful bookstores in the world, the Lello bookstore has served for several works by writers and artists, including the author of the Harry Potter series - J. K. Rowling. This bookstore was founded in 1906 by the Lello a Brothers and its neo-Gothic architecture was designed by architect Francisco Xavier Esteves. Finally, we went down Rua das Flores.
In Ribeira, you can see the Palácio da Bolsa, São Francisco church and the emblematic D. Luis Bridge.
