Full day Lisbon City tour with afternoon food tour
9h00 AM-Pick up at your hotel and departure to the Belém district. We will come acrpss Marquês de Pombal Square, Eduardo VII Park, a main viewpoint of Lisbon and the largest park in the center of Lisbon. We continue to Belém, the first stop will be at Torre de Belém, considered by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. Next to the tower, we will see the Padrão dos Descobrimentos and the Jerónimos Church and monastery (closed on Mondays.) Time at leisure. We suggest you visit Belém pastry shop, for a tasting of a typical pastel de Belém (not included). During the afternoon, we continue with a guided walking tour of the city to get to know the food, culture and gastronomic trends of Lisbon. You will have the opportunity to discover more about this magnificent city with almost 2000 years of history. Some of the main highlights are Praça do Comércio, Rua Augusta, Triumphal Arch, historic center, Chiado, Baixa Pombalina, Bairro Alto. Your guide will show you some famous "tascas", local taberns to drink some Portuguese wines from different regions, such as Setúbal, Alentejo or Douro, local beers such as SuperBock or Sagres and / or artisanal beers. Enjoy some tasty tapas, typical Portuguese products such as Octopus, seafood, cheese, smoked ham, coffee and unique delicacies, while exploring the picturesque streets of the center of Lisbon. Full day private Tour to Sintra, Cascais and Estoril - optional tickets - 8 hours
9h00 am - Meet at your hotel in Lisbon and depart for Sintra for a full day tour with your guide. The first stop will be in the city of Sintra. We will visit the historic center, where you will see the National Palace of Sintra, a Moorish castle, that has suffered several renovations over the years. It has a mixture of various architectural styles: medieval style, Gothic, Manueline, Renaissance and romantic arquitectural styles. Stop at pastelaria Piriquita and taste the famous pastry "Travesseiro de Sintra". (not included). In Sintra, the famous Pena Palace is also located, one of the most extravagant Portuguese palaces built on a rock at an altitude of 500 m. Optional entrance ticktes and visit to Pena Palace or Optional visit to the magnificent Quinta da Regaleira Palace. Located in the historic center of Sintra and classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Regaleirs has luxurious gardens, lakes, grottoes and enigmatic buildings. Tour to Évora and wine cellar of the region
09h00-pick up at the hotel for an excursion in Évora. 10h45-estimated time of arrival to Évora. We Will Visit Evora, one of the the most important cities in the south of the country. Évora has a lot to offer, considered an UNESCO Heritage Site, it has a rich history, visible in its narrow streets and local monuments. During this tour, we will have the opportunity to explore the historic of Évora and the main highlights, like the cathedral, a Gothic monument, built between the twelfth and fifteenth centuries, the Roman temple of Diana, the ex-libris of the city, dated from the first century. Contrary to what its name may indicate, this temple was dedicated to the imperial cult and not to the goddess Diana. It was built during Roman era in honor of the emperor Augustus. From there we continue to the Church of St. Francis, where the famous "Chapel Of Bones" (Capela dos ossos) is located. This small chapel inside S. Francis Church has its walls and ceilings covered and decorated with human skulls and bones. Transfer from Lisbon to Oporto and visit in Fatima and Aveiro
9h00-departure from Lisbon to Oporto with stop to visit Fatima 10h30-arrival in Fatima and time to explore the city. Fatima is the largest exponent of the Catholic religion in Portugal. Time at leisure in the sanctuary of Fatima, visited by thousands of people every year. At the sanctuary, you will have the opportunity to visit the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary and the chapel where the apparitions took place (Chapel of the apparitions), built in 1919 in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary. There are masses that take place during the morning and evening in Lisbon (usually in Portuguese) Lunch in Fatima (not included) 13h30-transfer to Aveiro 15h00-arrival in Aveiro and time to visit the city. In the central coast of Portugal, we may find the beautiful city of Aveiro (known as the Venice of Portugal). Rich in various industries such as fishing, pottery, ceramics, porcelain and sweet pastries, it is surrounded by an extensive network of water canals. The train station, the Art nouveau houses and the typical Moliceiro boats, are some of the main attractions. 9h00 am - Meet your guide at the hotel for a half-day tour of Oporto. During this route, we will explore the typical neighborhoods of Porto, streets, main attractions and historic center. The visit begins at the Oporto Cathedral (Sé), where the expansion of the city began in the XII century. Contemplate a unique view of the Douro River over the D. Luís Bridge and glimpse the Rabelo boats lined up along the pier. The tour continues through the centre of Porto, an area that has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years. Visit the main highlights, such as Avenida dos Aliados and the Saint Bento Trainstation, covered in magnifcent tiles displayed on its walls, the Carmo and Carmelita churches, Praça dos Leões and Clerigos Tower (Torre dos Clérigos). Full day Douro Valley with visit to Casa Mateus and a wine estate.
9h00 am - Meet your driver in the lobby of your hotel in Oporto and we will continue to the Douro Valley. (+- 1h45 hours by car.) During this tour, you will discover one of the most beautiful regions of Portugal: the Douro Valley, considered a Unesco World Heritage Site, where the famous port wine is produced. The Douro Valley has a unique landscape created by the terraces of its vineyards. Here you will have the opportunity to discover the whole process of creating port wine. Our first stop is in Vila Real, to visit the magnificent Casa de Mateus (visit included with resident guide), one of the most important cultural institutions in the country. Visit the House, Chapel and magnificent Gardens of this property. We continue to the village of Pinhão, located in the heart of the Alto Douro wine region, where many of the main port wine producing estates are located.
